GIVE A STRING
GIVE A STRING 1024 583 delyramus

After 3 years, the Rey Ardid Foundation in collaboration with the School of Violeria continues with the recovery of heritage and traditional techniques of violeria, with the active participation of people with disabilities associated with mental illness.

Musicians are sought to contribute their knowledge and needs in relation to the use of traditionally made gut strings for repertoires of ancient and classical music on various instruments (violas, vihuelas, violins, cellos, harps …). This information will be important for a project that wants to develop the elaboration of these ropes. Click here for more information on the project.

Collaborate in this initiative by answering this simple survey!

With your participation, you are supporting a social initiative, helping to create employment for a vulnerable group and, on the other hand, collaborating in the recovery of a cultural heritage related to the art of violeria.

Applying the MUS-E Methodology and within the framework of the ‘Creative Europe’ Program, in coordination with the Rey Juan Carlos University and with the collaboration of the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, the Ministry of Education of the Andalusian Government, we continue showing the work in the Delyramus Project for the 2019-2020 academic year. And we do it with a short film about the training of mothers at CEIP Menéndez Pidal.
You can see the video here, it is short but the duration does not matter, because it was about capturing the moment when these four mothers of boys and girls of the Delyramus Project make percussion and work together. They observe, attend and synchronize with small percussion elements.
